Transport prosecutor's office investigating incident with Bek Air company

19.05.2017 Astana. May 19. KazTAG - The prosecutors are investigating the incident in Bek Air company, said the main transport prosecutor's office of Kazakhstan
"The transport prosecutor's office is learning the materials concerning the incident involving police and N. Zhumasultanov, head of the air company. In case of discovery of violation of law, appropriate measures will be taken," said the message.
The press service said the air traffic control service of Astana got the message about return of Bek Air plane flying en route Astana-Aktobe on May 17 at 23.41 due to activation of emergency alarm. There were 108 passengers aboard, including 17 children and 6 crew members.
"The representatives of the department for investigation of air accidents gave a permit for technical flight of the airplane to the airport of Almaty on May 18 at 01.09. However, according to the law, only the commission for air incident investigation has the right to issue this permit, as the case with the aircraft of Bek Air was liable to investigation," said the message.
"As the commission was not created for that moment, the authorized bodies did not come to the airport, the aviation prosecutor's office of Astana decided not to allow the technically defective aircraft for flight until completion of investigation of the incident," said the message.
The aircraft was inspected by police, it was sealed, a request for the flight restriction was sent to Kazairnavigation.
As it was reported, the aircraft of Bek Air company which was supposed to provide the flight Almaty-Atyrau cannot depart from Astana.
