Ceiling collapsed in rural school of Karaganda region, 3 pupils injured

13.03.2018 Karaganda. March 13. KazTAG - A ceiling has collapsed in a school of Kokpekty village, Karaganda region, injuring 3 pupils.
"A ceiling has collapsed in school of Kokpekty, Karaganda region. It happened in the time of classes. There were 3rd year pupils in the classroom, three of them suffered. The accident has not affected the educational process, the school operates in routine mode. The ceiling is being inspected," said Aset Akhmetov, head of local education department.
He said the children suffered bruises; they were taken to hospital in Karaganda. Their parents have no claims to school.
According to A. Akhmetov,  last time repairs were done in 2007 within the framework of the "Employment road map" program. Only the foyer and the assembly hall were repaired. In 2016 they replaced the windows. Last year, the school repaired the boiler room,  the pipe and installed a boiler.
Meanwhile, as early as 2015, the Education Department submitted a budgetary application for the repair of the educational institution.
