GDP increased by 4% in January-February 2018 in Kazakhstan

13.03.2018 Astana. March 13. KazTAG - The GDP growth in Kazakhstan has shown 4% within the first two months of the year, the growth is associated with increase of industry volume and services as well as internal consumption, said Timur Suleimenov, minister of national economy.
"GDP growth in the reported period (January-February 2018-KazTAG) amounted to 4% against 2.5% in the same period 2017. This dynamics has been provided by growth of processing industry and services. Investments and internal consumptions have increased," he said at the session of the Government.
In his words, inflation has slowed down and amounted to 1.3% since January.
"It has been the lowest index of the past years. In annual terms inflation made 6.5%," he said.
International reserves increased by 2% to $90.8 bn, gold and currency reserves have grown up by 2.2% (to $31.4, assets of the National fund increased by 1.8% to $59.4 bn).
