Water level in rivers of East Kazakhstan region increased

Ust-Kamenogorsk. May 2. KazTAG - The water level in the Bukhtarma and Kishi Ulba rivers in the East Kazakhstan region has increased, according to Askar Sharip,  representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
“In East Kazakhstan region, due to heavy rain, the water level in the Bukhtarma and Kishi Ulba rivers increased,” said a representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Askar Sharip also noted that a group of forces and means of the Emergency Situations Department, military unit 68303 of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the disaster medicine center was sent to the Altai and Glubokovsky regions. An aerial control is being carried out.
“In the Atyrau region, monitoring of the water level of the Zhaiyk River continues. The flood situation is being monitored using a drone. Bank protection works are being carried out. During the day, water was diverted and pumped out from 70 houses, 202 thousand bags were laid,” Sharip said.
