Astana. June 9. KazTAG - 53 protestors were detained in the time of rallies on June 6, reports the Ministry of Interior Affairs.
"53 people were taken to police. Of them, 8 have been brought to administrative responsibility, including 7 were fined, one got a warning. Pretrial investigation was initiated in respect of two violators for using force and assault of law enforcement officers," said the message.
The representatives of the prosecutor's office and local executive bodies had clarified the illegality of their actions to the protestors.
“However, some people did not comply with legal requirements. The internal affairs bodies took measures to ensure public order and safety of people. Active violators of quarantine restrictions and requirements of the law, after refusing to stop illegal actions, were taken to the police station," reads the statement.
