About half of medical equipment in polyclinics worn out in Kazakhstan

Astana.  March 2. KazTAG –Up to 50% of medical equipment in the organizations of primary health care in Kazakhstan is worn out, said Alexei Tsoi, Minister of Health.
"Polyclinic facilities are provided with more than 1.5 million units of medical equipment, the equipment provision is 76.6%, while its wear makes 49%," Tsoi said at a government meeting.
In his  words, the lowest provision with medical equipment is in the North Kazakhstan region - 55%, in Kostanay - 57%, in  Shymket - 72%, in  Akmola - 74%, in Aktobe - 73% regions.
