Alikhan Smailov appointed as Prime Minister of Kazakhstan

Astana. January 11. KazTAG - Alikhan Smailov has been appointed as Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
The candidacy of Smailov was presented at a parliamentary session on Tuesday by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan. The candidacy was approved by the Majilis.
Smailov has been the first deputy prime minister since May 2020, before that from February 2019 - the first deputy prime minister - minister of finance, from September 2018 he headed the Ministry of Finance.
