Kazakhstani air companies are recommended to avoid flying above Iran

Astana. January 9. KazTAG - Kazakhstani air companies have been recommended to avoid flying above Iran, reports the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.
"Kazakhstani air companies have been recommended to avoid flying above the air space of Iran. Kazakhstani air companies are considering diverting flights through alternative air routes bypassing Iran," reads the message.
According to the statement, Air Astana and SCAT operate regular flights above the air space of Iran.
"Air Astana company operates the flight Nur-Sultan-Dubai (5 times a week) and Almaty-Dubai (10 times a week) through the air space of Iran. SCAT air company operates two regular flights from Almaty to Medina and Jidda (one time a week) and two non-regular flights Almaty-Sharm-El-Sheikh and Shymkent Sharm-El-Sheikh through the air space of Iran," said the message.
The press-service reported that Fly Dubai (UAE) operates Dubai-Nur-Sultan flight (5 times a week), Dubai-Almaty ( 7 times a week), Etihad (Abu-Dhabi-Nur-Sultan- 2 times a week), Air Arabia - Sharjah-Almaty (5 times a week) through the air space of Iran. Iranian company Mahan Air operates regular flights en route Teheran-Almaty.
