“Green office” is an office where all resources are used sparingly and everyone takes care of the environment.
The Green Office contest was focused on promoting energy, water and resource saving, environment-friendly technologies, goods and services, as well as assisting to create comfortable working conditions to form a friendly attitude to the environment; introducing a “green” way of behaviour and thinking among the community by promoting sustainable use of office resources; establishing environmentally responsible business communities; raising of awareness in terms of environment, sustainable development, climate balance conservation and rational use of resources.
62 organizations, which represent state authorities, international organizations and representative offices, the quasi-public sector, industrial enterprises, business and trading centres, financial organizations, and NGOs, took part in the contest for the nominations related to education, healthcare and services. As a result of the contest, 20 enterprises became the winners in various categories. KPO was among them in the category of industrial enterprises.
KPO was awarded with honorary diploma and in addition, received a special sign “Recommended by the Green Bridge Partnership Program” as part of the international initiative of Kazakhstan on cooperation between countries in the field of green economy.
This achievement once again confirms the commitment of KPO Management and employees to maintain continuous improvement of environmental management system.
