100 000 tourists bring up to $20 mln profit a day at the Issyk-Kul lake
Almaty. May 27. KazTAG - 100 000 tourists bring up to $20 mln tenge profit a day during their rest at the Issyk-Kul, reports the KyrTAG news agency.
"In average 100 000 tourists bring up to $20 mln profit a day at the Issyk-Kul territory. With this money the Issyk-Kul is being developed," said Temir Sariyev, Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan at the session dedicated to preparedness of Issyk-Kulregion to the summer season.
He added without good park and beach zone tourists won't buy tours for $100 a day and proposed to close free access to the beaches of Issyk Kul.
"There is no such approach in the world practice when beaches are open for everybody. There are special public beaches for local population in Turkey. Local authorities organize cleaning at the beaches. If we organize public zones at the territories of resorts we won't be able to provide security of tourists. The quality of beaches cleaning will deteriorate," he said.
"Nobody bans access to the population but local people must respect the rights of people who come to have rest and leave their money here," he concluded.
