“Due to floods in the region (Amangeldinsky, Zhangildinsky, the cities of Arkalyk), 14 anthrax burial sites are in flood zones. However, the epizootic situation in these places remains stable and is under constant monitoring by regulatory authorities,” reads the statement.
The burials are hermetically closed, annual monitoring for the presence of spores in these areas has not yet revealed a single case of spores coming to the surface.
