14 Kazakhstani children evacuated from Iraq

Astana. November 29. KazTAG - 14 Kazakhstani children have been evacuated from Iraq, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"14 Kazakhstani children were evacuated from Iraq on November 27. These underage citizens of Kazakhstan had been staying in the prison of Iraq with their mothers servicing the sentence for involvement in terror activity," reads the statement.
The humanitarian action was conducted by the request of mothers and relatives of the children in close cooperation with a number of state bodies, local non-governmental structures and international organizations.
"We express sincere gratitude to the authorities of Iraq and all the people involved in the operation. After registration of documents and rehabilitation period the children will reunite with their relatives," said the statement.
