1500 ownerless pension accounts identified every month in Kazakhstan - Kelimbetov
Astana. April 23. KazTAG - 1500 ownerless pension accounts are identified in Kazakhstan every month, heirs are found for them, said Kairat Kelimbetov, chairman of the National Bank.
"There are 600 000 ownerless accounts with totally 1.2 bln tenge. (...) We realize there is a human destiny behind each account, thus this money is just saved. The investment profit of these 1.2 bln tenge- 3.8 bln tenge. Every day such depositors are identified, every month 1500 wrong accounts are corrected, heirs are found," he said.
"We believe this "cleaning" will reduce the number of , so called, "wrong accounts" - there are 600 000 of them, there used to be more than 1 mln of them," said Ruslan Yerdenayev, deputy chair of the USPF.
