18 orphans returning from war zone in Syria to be adopted by their relatives - NSC
Astana. May 14. KazTAG - 18 orphans returning from the war zones in Syria will be adopted by their relatives, said Bakhytbek Rakhymberdiyev, head of the NSC department of Kazakhstan.
"Out of 156 children returning from the war zone in Syria to Kazakhstan on May 7 and 9, 107 are aged 7, 43- are aged 7-12, 6 – are elder than 12, more than a half were born abroad. 18 children are orphans whose parents died or are missing. Relatives of the orphans have been found and are ready to adopt them in their families," said Rakhymberdiyev.
He added that there are certain legal procedures for restoration of documents, adoption, but there will be no obstacles after their registration.
As for other evacuees, he said, they will be staying in an adaptation center in the suburbs of Aktau during a month, then they will return to the places of their residence.
