1838 cases of COVID-19 and pneumonia with signs of CVI recorded in Kazakhstan on May 16-17

Astana. May 18. KazTAG - 1838 cases of COVID-19 (CVI +) and pneumonia with signs of coronavirus infection (CVI-) were recorded in Kazakhstan on May 16-17, reports the press service of the Ministry of Health.
“From March 13, 2020 to May 17, 2021, CVI +: morbidity - 362,030 (1837 over the past day), mortality - 4095 (22 on May 16); from August 1, 2020 to May 17, 2021 CVI-: morbidity – 54 153 (one on May 16), mortality - 863 (three on May 16) ",  reads the report.
According to the Ministry of Health, at the moment 38 151 people continue getting treatment for CVI (37 694 CVI + and 457 CVI-),  13 768 patients are in hospitals, and 24 383 patients are at the outpatient level.
“756 patients are in serious condition, 192 patients are state of extreme severity, 110 patients are on ventilators,” reads the report.
