2.8 bn tenge of penalties written off within frameworks of tax amnesty in Kazakhstan

Astana. January 10. KazTAG - 2.8 bn tenge of penalties have been written off for private entities within the frameworks of the tax amnesty in Kazakhstan, said Berik Sholpankulov, First Vice Minister of Finance.
"Within the frameworks of the tax amnesty people had a chance to cover their main debt on tax liabilities for the past years and subsequently their penalty was written off. By the results of the campaign, 672 530 individuals paid 14.6 bn tennge debt, penalty to 2.8 bn tenge was written off," he said.
As of January 1 2019 the number of individuals who had tax debts was 1.4 mln people with 13.9 bn tenge debt and 6.3 bn tenge penalties," he said.
