25 people killed and 445 injured in bus accidents in Kazakhstan

Astana. August 7. KazTAG — 25 people were killed and 445 were injured in road accidents involving buses in Kazakhstan, reports  the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"As the analysis shows, there is a 56% increase in road accidents involving buses in the republic. This year alone, 25 people were killed and 445 were injured in road accidents involving buses," reads the report.
In order to improve road safety and the traffic situation in the country, amendments have been made to the traffic rules regarding the reduction of the speed of buses in populated areas. These amendments came into force on May 6, 2024.
"Exceeding the speed limit always entails serious consequences, which is why measures have been taken to limit the speed in populated areas to 50 km / h," reads the report.
