3 thousand detained , dozens injured in Belarus

Almaty. August 11. KazTAG - 3000 people have been detained in Belarus, dozens have been injured, criminal cases have been initiated against the protesters, foreign media report.
“The police in Belarus have detained 3,000 people for participating in unsanctioned rallies after the elections on Sunday, said the Ministry of Interior Affairs. The ministry said in a statement that 1000 people have been detained in Minsk and other parts of the country. Protesters in Minsk reportedly burned torches, made barricades, threw nails and pins on the roads, attacked police. 50 civilians and 39 policemen have been injured in the clashed," said the report.
"Some people have been taken to the country's medical institutions were intoxicated, no military weapons were used against the criminals, nobody has been killed," said the report.
Meanwhile, a well-known human rights organization Viasna stated that one protester was killed by a police car.
