3200 people of Kazakhstan to perform hajj in 2019
Astana. July 19. KazTAG - 3200 people in Kazakhstan will perform hajj in 2019, reports the central communications service.
"In the period from July 31 until august 20 3200 citizens of Kazakhstan will perform hajj under quota (3000 in 2018)," said Yerzhan Nukezhanov, chairman of the committee for religion affairs of the Ministry of Information and Public Development.
He said two air companies- Scat and FlyNas-will provide transportation services.
"The first flights will depart from Aktau and Shymkent," he said.
In turn, first deputy chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, Naib Mufti Nauryzbai Utpenov, noted that the pilgrimage to Mecca is one of the five pillars of Islam, one of the foundations of Islamic worship.
According to him, training workshops are held in the country to explain the purpose and order of pilgrimage in 530 mosques with district, city and regional status. The pilgrims will be assisted by a Hajj mission consisting of 12 people.
