36 cases on violations during presidential elections in Kazakhstan taken to court - General Prosecutor's Office
Astana. June 20. KazTAG - 36 cases on violations during the presidential elections in Kazakhstan have been taken to court, reports the General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan.
"In the electoral period the prosecutor's office initiated 36 cases and sent to courts on administrative violations. The courts have considered 30 of them, six are in the process," reads the message.
11 members of electoral commission have been attracted to responsibility under Art.110 for giving ballots to people so that they could vote for other people, the members have been fined 25 MCI.
"9 electors have been fined udder Art.108 (violation of requirements on equal electoral right-KazTAG) for violation of the requirements on equal electoral right (one elector-one vote- one ballot). Mainly these people were taking ballots for their family members in Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Almaty region, East Kazakhstan region and Turkestan region. Four cases are being considered by the specialized administrative court of the Zhambyl region," reads the report.
The prosecutors are checking information about violations published in mass media and social networks.
"The majority of the cases have not been confirmed. Work is underway as many video records have no data about the voting station, district, city, region where the events took place. By the results of the checks, the materials on illegal actions will be taken to court," reads the report.
