4.5 points earthquake hit 44 km southwards from Almaty
Almaty. May 15. KazTAG - An earthquake measuring 4.5 points has been fixed 44 km southwards from Almaty, said Kazakhstani seismologists.
"The network of seismic stations fixed an earthquake at 4.29 AM of Almaty time. The epicenter was located 44 km southwards from Almaty on the territory of Kazakhstan. Energy class- 9.2. Magnitude MPV- 4.5," reads the epicenter.
The epicenter was located not far from the border with Kyrgyzstan at 10 km depth.
