59% of Kazakhstani people will live in the south and in large cities by 2030 - expert

Almaty. September 20. KazTAG - 59% of Kazakhstani people will live in the southern regions and in large cities by 2030, said Alexandra Molchanovskaya, Managing Director of the Center for the Development of Labor Resources JSC of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
“By 2030, 59% of the population of Kazakhstan will live in the southern regions and cities of republican significance. (…) Regional imbalances will increase, “ she said.
According to forecasts, the average annual population in Kazakhstan in 2025 will reach almost 20 million. That is, the increase in five years will amount to 1 million people.
