Astana. June 10. KazTAG - 77% of voters have given their votes for the president of Kazakhstan, reports the Central Electoral Commission of Kazakhstan (CEC).
"According to the CEC data provided by the regions, the cities of republican significance, and the as of 20.00 (at the time of closing of polling stations - KazTAG), on June 9, 2019, 77% of the total number of voters included in the lists received the ballots," reads the message.
According to the central election commission, 83% of voters voted in the Akmola region, 84.6% in the Aktobe region, 89% in the Almaty region, 71.2% in the Atyrau region, 84.5% in the East Kazakhstan region, and 81.3% in the Zhambyl region , 66.2% - in the West Kazakhstan region , 77.1% - in the Karaganda region , 84% in the Kostanay region, 77.6% - in the Kyzylorda region, in the Mangistau region - 68.3%, in the Pavlodar region - 79.5%, in the North Kazakhstan region - 79.8%, in the Turkestan region - 84.8%, in Almaty - 52.2%, in Shymkent - 67.1% and in Nur-Sultan - 68.3%.
The elections in Kazakhstan took place on the background of numerous violations of electoral legislation and arrest of protesters in Nur-Sultan and Almaty.
