80% of COVID-19 cases revealed in time of screening over past week - Health Care Ministry

Astana. May 26. KazTAG - 80% of COVID-19 cases have been revealed last week in the time of screening in Kazakhstan, said Timur Sultangaziyev, chairman of the committee of control of quality and safety of goods and services of the Ministry of Health Care.
"2091 infection cases were revealed last week, growth rates made from 2.2% to 5.2%. Out of the infected people last week, 80% or 1689 cases were revealed in the time of active prophylactic screening among certain categories of people, 15% were revealed after people applied with ARVI symptoms and among their contacts, 4% or 81 cases were revealed among people who arrived from other states," he said.
In his words, 209 new coronavirus cases have been revealed over the past day, 2.5% growth rate.
