"82 years old inhabitant of Ust-Kamenogorsk was diagnosed COVID-10 on April 2. She was hospitalized in infection hospital with pneumonia on April 1," said Ilyas Mukhmedzhan, head of health care department of the East Kazakhstan region.
Up to date, the hospital has been cordoned off by police, staff and patients have been isolated.
The woman had travelled to Russia in January. She is in moderate state of condition. All the contacted people have been identified.
"Up to date, 198 contacted people have been identified. They have been quarantined in hospital. The tests have shown negative results," he said.
