95 tons of Afghan drugs transited CA in 2013
Astana. May 13. KazTAG - 95 tons of drugs transited Central Asia from Afghanistan in 2013, said Olga Zudova, senior legal advisor of regional representation of UN department on drugs and criminality.
"According to our specialists who use different types of calculations, about 25.3% ran through Central Asia in 2013 it was about 95 tons," she said.
In her words, about 2% of heroin, 5-6% of opium of the total transiting volume was detained in Central Asia in 2013.
"Talking about 70% pure heroin, 1 kg in Afghanistancosts 3000 (US dollars-KazTAG), in Kazakhstan- 10 000, in Russia-22 000," she said.
