97% of urban and 87% of rural population in Kazakhstan to be supplied with water until year end

Astana. September 17. KazTAG - 97% of urban and 87% of rural population of Kazakhstan will be supplied with water by the end of 2019, said Roman Sklyar, Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan.
"Performance of 411 projects for provision of drinking water and water disposal system worth 126 bn tenge started this year. By the results of the year 97% of urban population and 87% of rural population will be supplied with water," said Sklyar at the discussion of improvement of position of Kazakhstan in the ranking of global competitiveness index of the World Economic Forum.
In his words, 20.6 thousand km of networks worth 589 bn tenge were constructed and reconstructed in 2018.
