9806 cases of COVID-19 and CVI pneumonia recorded on January 16-17

Astana. January 18. KazTAG - 9806 cases of COVID-19 (CVI+) and pneumonia with signs of coronavirus infection (CVI-) were recorded in Kazakhstan on January 16-17, said the press service of the Ministry of Health.
“From March 13, 2020 to January 17, 2022 CVI +: incidence - 1,071,130 (9,798 over the past day), mortality - 13,087 (six on January 16); from March 10, 2020 to January 16, CVI-: incidence - 84,741 (eight on January 16), mortality - 5239 (two on January 16),” reads the report.
86,017 people continue getting treatment for CVI (84,406 CVI+ and 1,611 CVI-), 7,388 patients are in hospitals, and 78,629 patients are outpatients.
“251 patients are in a serious condition, 83 patients are in a state of extreme severity, 50 patients are on ventilators,” reads the message.
