"The office of the Prime Minister has been assigned to prepare a recommendation for disciplinary responsibility of the vice ministers of agriculture, national economy, trade and integration, deputy akims of Shymkent and Almaty, Kyzylordda, Turkestan, Akmola, North Kazakhstan, Aktubinsk and Zhambyl regions responsible for control over food prices," said Askar Mamin, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
He has ordered to form a work group which will develop a package of short-term and midterm measures for stabilization of prices for socially significant goods. The group will be headed by Roman Sklyar, Vice Prime Minister.
"I propose to attract deputy akims to responsibility. Akimats had to regulate the prices for socially significant goods, however, they failed to do this. We have discovered that akimats are not aware what is produced in their regions and they do not know where the goods are delivered from," he said.
