Almaty. June 13. KazTAG - Abandoned and empty buildings in Almaty are planned to be given over for the construction of social facilities, reports the press service of the Almaty Akimat.
"Abandoned and empty buildings for several years can be transferred to the municipal property of Almaty and given over for the construction of social facilities," the report said on Friday.
During a tour of the southern capital, Almaty Mayor Darkhan visited the Malaya Stanitsa district. On Kabilova Street there is a complex of nine buildings that have been empty for more than two years. At the same time, the city has a problem with a shortage of social facilities.
"The issue of transferring buildings to municipal property for their rational use was raised. The mayor of the metropolis instructed to work on this issue so that all the needs of residents are taken into account,” reads the report.
Satybaldy also familiarized himself with the progress of the school construction within the framework of the national project “Keleshek Mektepteri”. He instructed the contractors to complete all work by the end of the summer so that students could start classes in September.
In addition, Satybaldy instructed to strengthen control over the cleaning of the street and road network and noted that if violations are detected, the district authorities will bear personal responsibility.
