About 1,000 drug offenses identified within two months in Kazakhstan

Astana. December 6. KazTAG – About 1 thousand drug offenses have been identified within two months in Kazakhstan, reports the official Internet source of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“Over two months, 981 drug offenses were identified on the territory of the country, including 219 cases of drug sales and 10 cases of drug smuggling. The activities of two organized crime groups were stopped, 12 drug labs and four drug dens were liquidated,” said Daniyar Meirkhan, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Combating Drug Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the data, 230 people were detained for the sale of synthetic drugs, including 45 operators and 185 drug dealers. It is also noted that 1,560 Internet sources involved in the sale and propaganda of drugs were identified and blocked.
“In cooperation with Telegram representatives, more than 2 thousand links with illegal content were removed. In total, over 5.5 tons of drugs were seized from illegal circulation, including 76 kg of synthetics, and more than three tons of precursors were withdrawn from legal circulation,” Meirkhan said.
