About 10 000 tourists will visit mountain ski resort in South Kazakhstan every year
Shymkent. October 29. KazTAG - About 10 000 tourists will visit South Kazakhstan region every season, said Perizat Konusbayeva, head of tourism department of South Kazakhstan region.
"About 10 000 tourists will visit the mountain resort in South Kazakhstan region every year. This project is unique because not only professional athletes but also residents of the region will train at the tourist camp," she said.
The lengths of the skiing slope will make up almost 6 km. It will work 8 months a year, while in summer it will work as a recreation zone . A hotel with several swimming pools will be built in Kaskasu gorge in Sairam-Ugamsk national park.
Construction works have started. The cost of the project- 13 bln tenge. The authorities believe the resort will be paid off in 8 years. The construction works will last 4 years.
