About 60 000 graduates of Kazakhstani schools annually leave to study in foreign states

Astana. September 18. KazTAG - About 60 000 schools’ graduates in Kazakhstan annually leave to study in the foreign states, said Natalya Zhumadildayeva, Majilis deputy.
"Foreign universities attract Kazakhstani youth as they provide privileges, free education, scholarship, accommodation for the account of universities in these states. Intensive work for attraction of talented graduates from Kazakhstan has resulted in outflow of 60 000 Kazakhstani graduates annually," she said reading her deputy request to Askar Mamin, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
Today more than 91 000 students from Kazakhstan study in the foreign states, she said.
"Today, according to the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan, more than 91 000 students-  citizens of Kazakhstan- study in the foreign states. It is not the final number, as the consulate register is voluntary and not all the students get the registration. The Ministry of Education and Science does not conduct any analysis at all. As an example I can refer to the Federal security service- since the beginning of the year 181.5 thousand students have arrived to study in Russia, including 59.3 thousand from Kazakhstan," she said.
In her words, the cause of the outflow is insufficient professional orientation work of Kazakhstani universities and employment problems after graduation.
