Astana. May 29. KazTAG - About 70 cubic meters of smuggled cigarettes from Romania were found in a Russian truck in the North Kazakhstan region, reported the press service of the NSC border.
“A citizen of the Russian Federation born in 1971 was detained in the Karakog auto unit of the Petropavlovsk border detachment. He was traveling from Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation on a Volvo car loaded of Karwool plate-light weighing 6100 kg. During the deeper visual inspection using special equipment detained cigarettes of Zumerret and Dubao brands (made in Romania), about 70 cubic meters, without excise stamps,” reported the NSC on Wednesday.
As the border guards clarified, the smuggled goods were transferred to the regional economic investigations department.
