Afghanistan increased import of Kazakhstani flour by 5.1 times to 166 000 tons in Q1
Astana. April 29. KazTAG - Kazakhstan increased export of wheat and wheat-rye flour to Afghanistan to 166.1 thousand tons in January-March 2014 ($53.2 mln), 5.1 times up in quantity and 4.1 times up in cost year on year, reports the customs control committee of the Ministry of Finance.
According to the published data, without accounting the Customs Union's states, Kazakhstan exported 462.9 thousand tons of flour to $132.8 mln, 39.7% up in quantity and 19.2% up in sum year on year.
The biggest consumers of Kazakhstani flour were: Uzbekistan- 222.6 thousand tons (+6.6%), Afghanistan- 166.1 thousand tons (5.1 times up), Tajikistan-42.2 thousand tons (-11%), Kyrgyzstan- 18.4 thousand tons (-38.5%), Turkmenistan-12.2 thousand tons (+19.9%).
