Astana. June 24. KazTAG – Air Astana flight attendants, dissatisfied with their working conditions, reported pressure, reports Qaz365.kz.
“A dispute has flared up in the largest airline in Kazakhstan, previously known for its service and labor policies. On June 12, company employees posted a complaint on the unified official complaints platform EOtinish. Air Astana flight attendants are dissatisfied with management's pay policy, social management and personnel decisions. According to employees, instead of solving the problem, the company began to put pressure on them. Airline employees are worried that they will be dismissed. Therefore, they are forced to act in complete confidentiality,” reads the statement.
According to the publication, Air Astana has launched an investigation to find the authors of the complaint.
“We cannot express our problems and our position because transport strikes are prohibited by law. The salary of a flight attendant ranges from KZT240 thousand to KZT320 thousand. Moreover, in accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 105 of the Labor Code, workers who do hard or hazardous work must be paid higher salary due to dangerous working conditions,” the publication quotes the complaint.
