Akim of Baikonyr district of Nur-Sultan confessed of bribery

Astana. January 24. KazTAG - Askar Yesilov, akim of Baikonyr district, has confessed of bribery, said Daniyar Bigaidarov, senior prosecutor of the first department of the agency for corruption combat.
"The anti-corruption service has revealed the fact of bribery by the akim of Baikonyr district. He is suspected of getting a bribe in the form of the latest model iPhone from a representative of a private company for assistance in getting sub-contractor works for the accomplishment of Baikonyr district in Nur-Sultan and general patronage. The case is on the stage of investigation. The suspect has admitted his fault," he said.
KazTAG with a reference to a source reported that Askar Yesilov was detained on January 21. It was revealed that Yesilov was detained on January 20 on suspicion of getting an iPhone 11 Pro and 4 mln tenge.
