All permits for the transportation of goods in transit through Kazakhstan "cost" $4 billion

Almaty. May 23. KazTAG – All permits for the transportation of transit cargo “cost” $4 billion, said Pavel Telitsyn, President of the National Association of Carriers of Kazakhstan.

“Kazakhstan has become a geopolitical country in the field of transit transportation. Only the number of foreign permit forms issued by the Chinese side for Kazakhstani carriers in 2024 amounted to almost 250 thousand “permits”. This is 250 thousand shipments. The average price that we calculated turned out to be about $16 thousand for one round trip. That is, for all permits $4 billion,” Telitsyn said, speaking at a meeting on the construction and operation of roads in Kazakhstan on Friday.

According to him, most of this money is withdrawn by relocators who registered companies here and, without investing a penny in Kazakhstan, transport cargo in transit.
