Almaty airport transported more than 11 million passengers

Almaty. February 19. KazTAG – Almaty International Airport is the busiest in Central Asia, its passenger traffic exceeded 11 million, said Goker Koser, President of Almaty International Airport.
“With the commissioning of the new terminal in Almaty, the airport’s passenger traffic exceeded 11 million passengers, almost doubling compared to the pre-COVID period, making it the busiest airport in Central Asia,” Koser said at a government meeting.
In his words, Almaty Airport ranks first in Kazakhstan in terms of cargo traffic, handling 70% of all air cargo traffic.
“The passenger satisfaction rate increased from 3.07 last year to 4.4 on a five-point scale. The airport recently received four stars from the international organization Skytrax (an international organization specializing in determining air transport ratings),” Koser added.
