Almaty. December 2. KazTAG - Patients of the infectious diseases hospital in Almaty, built by BI Group for T5.5 billion, are being transported to another medical facility - reported popular Almaty Instagram-public kris_p_brothers_off.
“The infectious diseases hospital for 280 beds in Almaty is being transferred to another place. The hospital, built great fanfare, according to the source, turned out to be unsuitable even for mild frosts that came to the southern capital of Kazakhstan in November 2020. Now the city authorities will have to transfer all patients, staff and expensive equipment, ” said the statement.
The fact that thepatients of the infectious diseases hospitals could freeze was also reported by the Almaty journalist Saida Suleeva.
“Either they forgot to insulate the construction in a hurry, or they actually built it for operation only for a few months. If the second option turns out to be true, then the question is - were they throwing the money around? Or is it a shortcoming of a construction company? "  wrote Suleeva.
The official commentary of the Ministry of Health did not indicate any reasons of cold for the patients relocation,  according to the "official" version, the reason is the opening of a new branch  "City Clinical Infectious Disease Hospital named after I. Zhekenova" on November 30.
“Due to the fact that the modular clinic of the city clinical infectious diseases hospital named after I. Zhekenova (hereinafter referred to as the modular clinic) has been operating from April to the present, and it needs general sanitary and disinfecting treatment in the building. Further, the modular clinic will be in reserve," said the statement.
