Almost 3 million Russians have entered Kazakhstan since January

Astana.  December 22. KazTAG - Almost 3 million Russians have entered Kazakhstan since the beginning of 2022, reports the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“5.61 million foreigners have entered Kazakhstan in 2022. Most come from the CIS states. In the first place are immigrants from the Russian Federation - 2.9 million. In second place are citizens of Uzbekistan - 2.3 million,  730 thousand came from Kyrgyzstan. More than 330 thousand came from Tajikistan, almost 90 thousand people came from Turkey. Now 650,000 foreigners are temporarily staying in Kazakhstan. Almost 6 million foreigners have left the country,” Aslan Atalykov, acting chairman of the Migration Service Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Since September 21, 3,578 Russians arrived in Kazakhstan for permanent residence, 965 applied for  obtain Kazakh citizenship.
