Almost 500 people died following emergencies since January in Kazakhstan

Astana. September 27. KazTAG - Almost 500 people have died as a result of emergencies and incidents since the beginning of the year in Kazakhstan, said Syrym Shariphanov ,Minister of Emergency Situations.
“As part of the prevention and response to emergency situations, over eight months of this year, more than eight thousand emergencies and incidents were registered throughout the country, as a result 1,250 people were injured, including 495 people died. Material damage amounted to more than T9 billion,” Shariphanov said at a meeting of the Majilis Committee.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the units rescued about 9 thousand people, over 9 thousand people were evacuated from the emergency zone, and first aid was provided to over 3.5 thousand victims.
