Almost 70% of electric grids are worn out in West Kazakhstan region - akim

Astana. November 12. KazTAG - Almost 70% of electric grids are worn out in the West Kazakhstan region, said Gali Iskaliyev, akim of the West Kazakhstan region.
"Our electric grids are in poor condition. We have about 26 000 km of grids which were built in the Soviet time. About 68-70% of electric grids are worn out," said Iskaliyev.
In his words, the electric grids will be replaced after an investor is found.
"Jointly with the regional energy distribution company we are developing an investment plan for the next three years. If it is approved by the local and central authorized bodies, we will be able to attract investments for the replacement of these grids," he said.
