Ambassador of Russia invited to Kazakhstani MFA to clarify situation following statement of chairfigure of Supreme council of Khakassia

Astana. April 11. KazTAG - Mikhail Bocharnikov, ambassador of Russia to Kazakhstan, has been invited to the MFA of Kazakhstan in order to clarify the situation following the statement of Vladimir Shtygashev, chair of Supreme Council of Khakassia, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan indicated inadmissible statements of Vladimir Shtygashev, chairman of Supreme Council of Khakassia, about allegedly existing historic rights of Russia for the western regions of Kazakhstan. The frequent statements of official representatives of Russia call concern," said Nurzhan Aitmakhanov, MFA spokesman.

MFA also indicated the officials of Khakassia clarified that "the words of Shtygashev were, allegedly, misinterpreted in mass media".

"However we believe, such arguments are insufficient and unsatisfactory in this situation," he said.
