Analogues of international literacy measurement systems are planned to be introduced in Kazakhstan
Astana. December 19. KazTAG - Analogues of international systems for measuring literacy among schoolchildren are planned to be introduced in Kazakhstan, said Askhat Aymagambetov, Minister of Education and Science.
“As part of the education development program for 2020-2025, we plan to improve the mechanism of external evaluation. We are going to revise the content of questions for measuring functional literacy, under the analogues with the tools of international comparative studies PIRLS, PISA, ICILS, etc. Also, in order to improve the quality of educational services it is planned to strengthen qualification requirements taking into account the types of educational organizations (school, lyceum , gymnasium, college, university). In addition, the criteria for educational organizations evaluation will be improved, ” said Aimagambetov.
