Antibiotics get ineffective due to their use without proposed clinical use - expert
Almaty. October 29. KazTAG - Antibiotics have become ineffective due to their use without proposed clinical use, said Vyacheslav Lokshin, president of association of international pharmaceutical manufacturers.
"The era of antibiotics has finished. We faced the situation when antibiotics have become useless for such serious diseases and diarrhea, pneumonia, as we have been using them without any prescription," he said at the VII congress "Human and medicines-Kazakhstan".
Meanwhile, according to academician Raisa Kuzdenbayeva, the future of pharmaceutics is biological medicines.
"The era of antibiotics is under doubt today as new medicines are not synthesized or developed, in return the active search of innovational medicines of biological origin developed by genetic engineers is underway," she said.
In her words, the medicines of genetic engineering are effective but not safe.
