Approximately half payment cards are actively used by holders - National Bank

Almaty. March 3. KazTAG - Only slightly more than half of payment cards - 54%, are actively used by holders, reports the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
"As of February 1 of this year, there were 49.3 million payment cards in circulation, but 26.5 million cards (53.8%) are actively used by holders," reads the statement.
According to the document, the number of entrepreneurs accepting payment cards for payment increased to 108 thousand, and the number of retail outlets increased by 26  to 169 thousand.
Cash withdrawals decreased by 21% to T16.6 trillion.
