Arrest changed into fine for man stretching poster in Almaty with excerpt from Constitution
Almaty. April 30. KazTAG - The arrest has been changed into a fine for Roman Zakharov, inhabitant of Almaty, who had stretched a poster with an excerpt from the Constitution of Kazakhstan "The only source of state power is the people".
"By the order of the judicial collegium of the Almaty city court, the court of the first instance has adjudged Romar Zakharov guilty of administrative violation under Part 1, Art. 434 (petty hooliganism), by the appeal of the prosecutor of Medeu district of Almaty, 5 days administrative arrest has been changed into an administrative fine of 5 MCI (12 625 tenge)," reads the statement of the Almaty city court.
As it was reported, Roman Zakharov was arrested for 5 days in April 29 after he stretched a poster saying "The only source of state power is the people". He said he did it in solidary with earlier arrested Asiya Tulesova and Beybarys Tolymbekov.
