Arrest of foreigners may be limited to 30 days for organization of their extradition

Astana. February 14. KazTAG - Arrest of foreigners or persons without citizenship in special facilities may be limited to 30 days for organization of their extradition from Kazakhstan, said Valeriy Oleinik, Majilis deputy.
"The law spells out the mechanism of detention and extradition of foreigners or persons without citizenship. Amendments will be brought in the criminal code and in the criminal procedural code, in the laws "On legal position of foreigners", "On population migration" and others which spell out the basis and term- not more than 30 days of detention of foreigners or persons without citizenship in special facilities of the interior affairs bodies for organization of their extradition," he said.
He added similar practice exists in Europe.
"They will be extradited for the account of the parties which invited them. If an individual came on his own, the state will have to pay," he said.
