Journalist Asem Zhapisheva, who had reported that the opera in honor of Nazarbayev is being learnt by artists under pressure in Astana Opera Theatre, was named by the theatre as "KazTAG reporter".
"The data provided by KazTAG reporter is false, in particular the information about the premiere of this opera on July 6 2019. In this period- from July 5 until July 8, Astana Opera will show scheduled performances within the frameworks of the tour of the state theatre of opera and ballet named after Abay, the information about it is available on the site of the theatre. The artists from Almaty will present Cinderella opera by Rossini," said the theatre.
Astana Opera also denied the information about pressure on the artists.
"In all the history of the theatre operation, no pressure has been made on the artists. All the conditions for creativity are created in the theatre, the management of the theatre appreciates every artist,” said the press-service.
